Horrible Heartburn & McDonald's Sweet Tea

I know, I know.... a goddess shouldn't have heartburn, but I guess when you're this hot it's just bound to happen hahahaha.

Seriously though, I have always had a heartburn issue all of my adult life. But just recently (about the last 2 weeks or so) I have been having seriously bad heartburn to the point that I can't go to sleep, and it actually wakes me up at night... and you know a Goddess needs her beauty sleep lol.

Then I was getting nausea as well, and no I am NOT PREGNANT!! Impossible. Anyhoo, I have been drinking a little milk before I went to bed, tried ice cream, anything that I felt would coat my stomache. Took rolaids the first week and usually they work for me, but this time they FAILED!!

So I bought some Pepto Bismol (I practically drank down the bottle of it within a few days and it did very temporarily help, but would come back less than an hour later. And since you can only take it every couple of hours it's useless at the moment.

Fed up with this almost-constant burning in my throat, I couldn't take it anymore. I went to the pharmacy tonight and talked to the pharmacist. He recommended Pepcid AC ~ Maximum Strength (since it is seriously waking me from my sleep) and not to mention I have been having an abnormal amount of loud obnoxious burps the last week due to the heartburn. The pharmacist said the heartburn could be causing the nausea as well. So I just took one approximately 3 hours ago and OMG!! it is working so far. NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING has stopped this heartburn until this wonder product! So, in the last few hours, I've had no heartburn, no obnoxious burping, and no nausea.

NOTE:
I may actually be causing my own heartburn to my surprise!! Read the side of the pepcid ac box and see if you are doing this to yourself.

Major causes of heartburn:
1. Eating spicy or rich foods...GUILTY!!!
2. Eating late at night or right before bedtime.... GUILTY!!! not all of the time, but a few nights a week.
3. Smoking... GUILTY AGAIN!
4. Caffeine... now the funny thing is I usually try to not consume caffeine at all, but in the last month I have been drinking a large sweet tea from McDonald's daily (possible cause here..maybe). lol
5. Chocolate...NOW COME ON!! How am I supposed to live without chocolate? That's just ridiculous. (A goddess must have her energy or at least appear to be awake!!) lol

There were a few others, I forget, but most of them I am guilty of. But the funny thing is that these things are my lifestyle. The only new addition was McDonald's sweet tea ... i.e. caffeine. So, I refuse to take the blame for my new heartburn problem and would like to place the blame directly on McDonald's sweet tea.

And yes I will be buying one tomorrow too. haha.

So in conclusion, why did I just write an entire blog about my heartburn? I don't know. Hopefully it will help you or at least amuse you.

FINAL FOUR OF THE NIGHT:::: I HEART PEPCID AC!!
